Scratch and Robotics Camp
We introduce children to Scratch, an easy to understand coding language favoured by educators. With a balance of on-screen and off-screen learning, kids will explore different coding concepts, build cool robots, and be inspired to express themselves through technology.
Building upon touch-typing, campers learn one of the most popular children’s coding languages: Scratch. Scratch programming builds a strong foundation in computer science through creating games, storylines, and animations.
We extend their knowledge from the screen to the real-world through our robotics sessions. Our campers will make their own game controllers with Makey Makey circuit boards and build Lego WeDo robots. Using a variety of robots, from Ozobots and mBots to WeDo and Dash and Dot robotics, students will use their programming skills to create their own customisable creations!
